WHO I AM
I was born Janey Vlahakis on Demetra Farm at Chirundu, a border post that is split by the Zambezi River to form the borders of Zambia (Northern Rhodesia) and Zimbabwe(Southern Rhodesia). According to my mother's tradition at birth I was received into this beautiful world in the gentle hands of grandma Chinyama, Elizabeth Tembo. It was on a very hot dry day in the month of November 1953 which was within the local Goba (valley) people's maindza (wet) season.
